Regarding Mr Lu’s letter (NP -— 3/24) and the amenities that school busses should be equipped with.

I’m a student and devoted dog rescuer. I have been fostering and rescuing dogs for five years now. I have fostered around 30 dogs and worked to rescue many more than that.

Does anyone else get a painful unsettling feeling in the pit of their stomach when seeing another decades old tree come down in the neighborhood? My heart breaks every time and with every slash of the chainsaws I feel grief settle deeper into my being.

I believe that Fairfax County should use its money to help improve bus seats. Think about children, venturing into the cold in the morning, freezing half to death. They walk like zombies onto the bus. Passing through a gloomy walkway onto their seat, they sit onto sad, cold seat. This is something that many students experience in the morning.
