Despite some hard hit balls by the Candy Canes (Coach Toman, sponsored by Davis Laine), the Hurricanes (Coach Torres, sponsored by NDI Custom Homes) were victorious Wednesday, May 4 with a final score of 4 – 1.
Both Meridian boys’ lacrosse teams were in action against the visiting Brentsville Tigers on Tuesday night, and the weather would prove to be nothing short of ideal, with temperature in the high 60s and not a single drop of rain.
The weather in Falls Church was beautiful all week, meaning that the Meridian High Mustangs were able to compete in their full schedule of various athletics events. Soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, and tennis all saw busy slates of action, and for the most part, the Mustangs were able to come away with victories.
Little League International launched the Challenger Division, an adaptive baseball program for individuals with special needs, in 1989. Falls Church Kiwanis Little League is extremely proud of their longstanding commitment to this program. While historically a Spring-only program, FCKLL now fields a Challenger team in the Spring and the Fall.
