McLean High Repeats Pavlis Memorial Golf Tourney Victory

326mcleanFor the second time in the George Pavlis Memorial Tournament’s four-year history, a team from McLean High School took first place in the golf competition. JP DeFranco of Wakefield High School was the low medalist and winner of the tournament for the second year in a row, shooting an even par 71. McLean’s Kendall Taylor was the runner-up, shooting a 1 over 72. The tournament, played on Aug. 12 at Reston National Golf Course, was created in memory of George Pavlis, who died suddenly of cancer. In his memory, the tournament emphasizes the building of friendships, fair play, and sportsmanship through competitive golf.
