Alice B. Nelson of Fairfax passed away Feb. 19. She was a retired kindergarten teacher at Mt. Daniel School in the City of Falls Church.

Beloved wife of the late Reverend Gordon Nelson (former minister at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church) for 34 years. Loving mother of Mark Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, David Nelson (Nadia) and Lee Nelson. Cherished grandmother of Aliyah and Ben Nelson.

The family received friends at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church Feb. 25. Interment was Feb. 26 at the Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Church World Service (churchworldservice.org).
