Bulova to Buy School Supplies for Homeless Children

Fairfax County Board Chair Sharon Bulova announced Tuesday that she will join County Sheriff Stan Barry tonight (Sept. 2) to take part in the annual “Shop With the Sheriff” program, which purchases school supplies for county homeless children.

The program is a partnership between the county and Target stores. The event will be held at the Target, 10301 Guinea Rd., Fairfax to buy supplies for 25 homeless children living in the Hanley and Patrick Henry shelters. “This is an opportunity to give these children the support they need to start the school year off right,” Bulova said. “With generous contributions from county businesses and coordination by Sheriff Barry, we are able to give these 25 kids the tools they need to succeed.”
