“We’re so excited people recognized what a treasure it is and pleased they all took the time to vote. This didn’t happen automatically; people had to make the effort to cast their votes, so we’re proud of that,” said F.C. Director of Communications Barbara Gordon this morning.
Gordon and other City officials will hold a conference call with contest organizers Thursday or Friday to learn more about what accompanies the recognition.
Coming up at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday, Sept. 11 – the same day as the Annual Taste of Falls Church event – is one of the market’s ongoing live-cooking chef series demonstrations, featuring Bryan Long of the Westn Tysons Corner from 9 – 11 a.m. at the market.
