Best of Falls Church: Best Pizza

If it’s one thing Falls Church and its residents know, it’s pizza. The two-square-mile Little City alone has at least ten spots offering up pies! All the more impressive then, that newcomer Flippin’ Pizza on West Broad wound up winning the top spot for Best Pizza over other, veteran F.C. institutions.

Barely a year old, Flippin’ Pizza opened in the Flower Building just last June and has already received a dedicated following at their New York-style pizzeria. Offering up plain cheese and a selection of four red and four white pies (with apt names like Brooklyn, Bronx and Whitestone), Flippin’ has a slice for just about anyone. Manager John Holland says the Triboro (meatballs, sausage and pepperoni) is one of the most popular, and News-Press readers tend to agree – citing the aforementioned selection as well as their pepperoni pie.

With so much F.C. love, when’s the hot time at Flippin’?

“Friday night is the crazy night at our shop,” says company president Mike Brumagin. But don’t worry about waiting long for your slice – extra staff is in place to adjust for the big pizza push.
