Shannyn Snyder will teach ‘Grossology’ at Mary Riley Styles Public Library at 120 N. Virginia Avenue on Wednesday, July 27 from 3 – 4:30 p.m. in the library’s Youth Services room. At the event, children will be exploring all things slimy, burpy, runny and gooey, from making slime and goop to understanding worms and slugs.
Participants will use Petri dishes, scopes and insects, make faux bacteria to prep for some at-home experiments and learn about what bugs are “allowed” in foods. Registration is required and the event is for children in grades 1 – 5. For more information, call 703-248-5034.
