Several Falls Church residents recently earned academic honors from colleges, universities and other academic institutions across the nation.
Jaime Alexander Calderon made the dean’s list with high honors at McDaniel’s College, where students must earn a grade point average between 3.7 and 3.89 to achieve the honor. Jaclyn Rose Hallenbeck made the ACH list at Siena Heights University, where students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to make the list.
Altinay K. Karasapan made the dean’s list at Colby College, where students must earn at least 3.75 grade point average to make the list. Paula O’Rourke made the dean’s list at George Mason University, where students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average to make the list.
Osama Ashour graduated cum laude from Emory & Henry College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in pre-professional – acting. Victoria Pender graduated from Union College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in gender, sexuality and women’s studies.
Irina Vasilache graduated from Kent State University with a Master of Science from the school’s College of Communication & Information. Michael Wortman graduated from St. Cloud State University with an Associate in Arts in liberal arts and sciences.
