GOP’s Hernick to Challenge Beyer in November

With better than 78 percent of the vote at the Eighth District Republican convention in Arlington last weekend, Charles Hernick has been nominated to run as the GOP candidate against first term incumbent Democrat Donald S. Beyer, Jr. for the 8th District Congressional seat this November. An economist and environmental consultant, he defeated Michael Webb, a former Army officer, in competing for the nomination last weekend.
