It’s been a long time coming but Plaka Grill is finally ready to open its doors in the City of Falls Church on Monday.
The opening of the restaurant had been hit with numerous delays but Plaka’s Cathy Drosos told the News-Press that after a successful health department inspection Monday, they’re all set for business. There will be a couple of soft openings this week for family, friends and City officials and then on Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m., the doors will open to everyone.
The F.C. Plaka Grill, at 513 West Broad Street, will be the second location of the Greek cafe. The original Plaka, known for its Greek specialties including wraps, souvlaki, soups, salads and the option to “Plaka-style” any gyro by adding french fries to the mix, first opened in 2007 on Lawyers Road in Vienna.
