City Council Defers On-Street Parking Vote

A strong response from City residents to the news that the Falls Church City Council was prepared this week to give a final approval to a new ordinance that would severely curtail the ability to park trailers and RVs on City streets has caused the Council to postpone further action into the new year until more public input can be received, the Council decided Monday night.

City Manager Wyatt Shields indicated that changes to the proposed ordinance, which won a preliminary OK by a unanimous Council vote two weeks ago, might be of sufficient significance as to require another “first reading” before a final OK sometime in the New Year.
