Jody’s Jam of the Week: DC Brew Tours

DC_Logo2Just five years ago, there were no breweries in Washington, D.C. None. When DC Brau made its debut in 2009, it was the first brewery in the District since 1956 and in the years since, there’s been an influx of brewers into the City. And, because beer is good and because visiting the creators of goodness is awesome, a new company has begun providing daily tours of breweries all over D.C.

Each tour by DC Brew Tours hooks up a day or evening trip visiting four District breweries including a bonafide beer guide, 15-20 beer tastings, lunch or dinner and round-trip transportation. Breweries on the tours include DC Brau, Atlas Brew Works, Chocolate City Beer, 3 Stars Brewing Co., Right Proper Brewing Co., Capitol City Brewing and Bardo. Tickets for both the Original DC Brew Tour and the After Hours Brew Tour are $85 per person.

What: DC Brew Tours

When: Daily, starting at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
