Jody’s Jam of the Week: Drink the District Wine Edition

DTD Photo 2

While some may enjoy wine while fine dining or perhaps with a plate of stinky cheese, I like it in the street and surrounded by food trucks.

Fortunately for me, this Saturday is Drink the District: Wine edition featuring over 100 varieties of wines available for tasting up and down New York Avenue (AKA “The Block). And it just so happens, a lineup of food trucks including The Big Cheese, Carnivore BBQ, DC Slices and more will be on hand to make sure I don’t pass out from all that imbibing. Because drinking, music and games are always a good time, there will be plenty of that, too.

Advance tickets are $40 and include unlimited tastings from vendors plus unlimited full pours of the house stuff. My weekend is set.

What: Drink the District Wine Festival

When: Saturday, June 7, 1 – 4 p.m. or 6 – 9 p.m.

Where: The Block, 500 New York Ave NW, Washington, D.C.
