The Falls Church Lions Club and the Fairfax Partnership for Youth will team up to host the 10th annual Tom King Classic golf tournament to benefit their projects and charities next Monday, May 12, at Algonkian Regional Park.
The entry fee is $160 per player, or $500 for a four-player team. The entry fee includes use of the greens and golf carts, instruction, a gift bag, a box lunch, and a catered dinner.
The format of the tournament is four-player scramble. Registration will take place from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. A putting contest will follow from 1 – 1:45 p.m. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 2 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m., with prizes and awards given then.
Prizes will be given for the putting contest, which costs $10 to enter; hole-in-one shots; first-, second-, and third-place teams; the longest drive, for men and women; and the closest-to-the-pin shot, for men and women.
