MEH Tech Students to Host Electronics Recycling

Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School’s Technology Student Association will hold an electronics recycling collection this Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the school, located at 7130 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church.

Accepted items for recycling include computer, routers, switches, household electronics, AV equipment, printers, cables and wires, appliances, steel, and batteries (alkaline, lead acid, Ni-Cad, Ni-Mh, and Li-Ion varieties).

Also accepted will be computer parts (as long as they are segregated – memory, circuit boards, processors, power supplies, low grade boards, hard drives, and CD/DVD/floppy drives.

Most items are free to recycle, although there will be a $10 surcharge for TVs, CRT monitors, or hard drive destruction.
