City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for August 19 – 25, 2013 

NOTE: This report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation. 

Panhandling, 500 block Roosevelt Blvd. On Aug. 19, a female, 50, of Arlington, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Burglary, 500 block Meridian St. On Aug. 20, police are investigating a report of a burglary which took place sometime overnight.

Obstruction of Justice and False ID to Law Enforcement, 100 block S. West St. On Aug. 20, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver provided a false name to the officer. a male, 38, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Obstruction of Justice and False ID to Law Enforcement.

Obstruction of Justice and Public Drunkenness, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden Center) On Aug. 21, a male, 44, of Annandale was arrested for Obstruction of Justice and Public Drunkenness.

Simple Assault, 100-block N. Washington St. On August 21, a female reported she had been assaulted on August 18, during a church service by an unknown female.

Larceny from Vehicle, 1000 E. Broad St, (24 Hr. Fitness) On August 23, a female reported that her laptop was taken out of her unlocked vehicle by an unknown subject(s) on August 21.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal, 134 W. Broad St. On August 24, a male, 42 of Springfield, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, and Refusal to submit to a breath test.

Destruction of Property, 205 Hillwood Ave. On August 24, a subject reported that an unknown individual(s) placed a glass beer bottle under his vehicle tire, causing it to flatten.

Shoplifting, 1200 W. Broad St. (Citgo)On August 24, a subject described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt, and cargo shorts entered the establishment and stole two cartons of Newport cigarettes.

Driving Under the Influence, Hillwood Ave/S. Washington St. On August 24, a female, 34 of Woodbridge, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence after crashing her vehicle up guide wires attached to a utility line.

Driving Under the Influence, 400 S. Washington St. On August 25, a female, 23 of Bethesda, Md. was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Larceny from Vehicle, 600 block Fulton Ave. On August 25, all four tires were stolen from a Honda Fit some time between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am.

Larceny, 300 block Shirley St. On August 25, a green women’s mountain bike was stolen from the exterior of a building.

Liquor Law Violations, 500 block S. Washington St. On August 25, a male, 22 of Reston was issued a traffic summons for having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
