City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for August 26 – September 1, 2013

Larceny from Building, 100 block Rees Pl. On Aug. 26, police received a report of window screens stolen in the past few days from a residence.

Graffiti, 200 block E. Broad St. On Aug. 26, police received a report of graffiti on a bus stop.

Panhandling, 1200 block W. Broad St. On Aug. 26, a male, 51, of Damascus, MD, was arrested and released on summons for Panhandling.

Larceny of Vehicle Parts, 600 block E. Columbia St. On Aug. 28, an unknown suspect(s) stole four tires from a parked vehicle.

Larceny from Building, 420 S. Washington St. On Aug. 28, an unknown suspect(s) stole a camera from the building.

Driving Under the Influence, 200 block S. Washington St. On Aug. 28, a female, 57, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Shoplifting, 1150 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On Aug. 28, an unknown suspect stole various merchandise. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’ 10″ tall, weighing approximately 150-160 pounds and about 40 years old.

Larceny of Vehicle Parts, 300 block Grove Ave. On Aug. 29, police received a report of a stolen license plate.

Narcotics Violation, 500 block N. Washington St. On Aug. 30, a female, 28, no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Blood or Breath Test, 500 block S. Washington St. On Aug. 30, a male, 33, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Blood or Breath Test.

Noise Violation, 100 block Birch St. On Aug. 30, a truck driver was picking up refuse during noise abatement hours. A male, 41, of Woodbridge, was arrested and released on summons for a Noise Violation.

Larceny from Vehicle, 7130 Leesburg Pike, (Mary Ellen Henderson School) On Aug. 30, an unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet and cash from a vehicle.

Larceny from Vehicle, 7130 Leesburg Pike, (Mary Ellen Henderson School) On Aug. 30, an unknown suspect(s) stole an iPhone from a vehicle.

Littering, 100 block S. Washington St. On Aug. 30, a male, 35, of Arlington, was arrested and released on summons for Littering.

Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer and Obstruction of Justice, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #22 (Pho Bien) On Aug. 31, an officer observed possible ABC Violations in the restaurant. While investigating, one of the employees assaulted the investigating officer and destroyed evidence of the ABC violation. A male, 34, of Annandale, was arrested for Assaulting a Law Enforcement Officer and Obstruction of Justice.
