MEH Student Wins 1st Place At Science Symposium

Nathan Sperry, a seventh-grade student at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School won first place in the Chemical Sciences section at the Virginia Junior Academy of Science Research Symposium at Virginia Tech.

Nathan’s experiment, When Carrots Turn Green… Literally! was first presented at the MEHMS Science Fair.

Nathan was one of 14 section winners at the middle school level out of 289 participants.
