F.C. Man Boosts Gun Control March with Social Media

Falls Church resident Shaun Dakin played a key role in this past weekend’s March on Washington for Gun Control. Dakin was one of the steering committee’s social media experts, and his task was to generate a following nationwide for the March via social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.

Dakin is the founder of the National Political Do Not Contact Registry, which advocates for voter privacy rights, and the Dakin and Associates communications consulting firm.

More than 6,000 people took part in the march on the National Mall Saturday, a silent demonstration in support of gun control. The march was a grassroots effort, all organized by volunteers.
