Mobile DMV Unit Serves Over 100 in F.C.

The Department of Motor Vehicles’ mobile customer service center, called DMV2Go, was at Bowl America, last Friday The special event was co-hosted by Tom Clinton, the Commissioner of the Revenue, the City of Falls Church DMV Select Office, Bowl America and the Virginia DMV. The DMV2Go will return on five additional dates at the same location and time, the second Friday in the odd months in 2013. This is open to all Virginia residents. No appointments are necessary. Over 100 customers were served last Friday and 85 transactions we processed. The handicapped-accessible full-service mobile office provides all DMV transactions including applying for and renewing driver’s licenses, obtaining ID cards (including photos) and Virginia’s new Veterans ID card, taking road and knowledge tests, obtaining copies of driving records, obtaining vehicle titles, license plates and so forth.
