The undefeated George Mason Scholastic Bowl team, the defending Virginia High School League state champions, recently advanced in the 2012-13 season of NBC4’s “It’s Academic.”
The Mustangs faced North Point High School and Wootton High School in the first round of the new season of the popular television show. Mason finished with a score of 595. North Point took second with 415 points and Wootton came in third at 390.
Crystal Luo, Liam O’Connell and Andrew Rochman played for the Mason team.
