Zemfira Stage Seeks Actors for ‘The Lion in Winter’

Zemfira Stage will be putting on a production of “The Lion in Winter” in January, and seeks interested actors to audition for parts.

“The Lion in Winter” is a fictional account of the political and personal troubles faced by Henry II of England in the winter of 1183.

Auditions are being held for Henry’s sons, John (age 17) and Geoffrey (age 25); Richard the Lionheart (age 26); Alais Capet (age 25); Phillip II of France (age 18); and Henry’s wife, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine (age 60).

Auditions are scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday from 7 – 9:15 p.m., with callbacks if needed next Wednesday. Auditions are being held at the James Lee Center, 2855 Annandale Road, Falls Church. Rehearsals will be in Centreville and Falls Church. Performances are scheduled for Jan. 11 – 27 at the James Lee Community Center.
