Kaylin Assails Opponents on School Funding Vote

In comments at the conclusion of last week’s Falls Church City Council meeting, Councilman Ira Kaylin called actions taken by the four-man majority on the Council last month to use part of the $3.4 million surplus from the just-completed fiscal year to provide technology upgrades in the Falls Church School System “immoral, unethical and cruel.” Kaylin, taking 11 minutes to read a written statement, assailed the four, singling out three of them by name for critical remarks. Two of his targets, Vice Mayor David Snyder and Councilman Ron Peppe, were not present to hear or respond.
