When 5 o’clock rolls around and the work-weary masses in the City of Falls Church are looking for a little happiness, they head to Clare and Don’s Beach Shack.

The celebrated Beach Shack patio is a big happy hour draw, says Clare and Don’s co-owner David Tax, but whether they’re hanging out on the patio or indoors, the happy hour crowd can enjoy half-priced appetizers from among the Florida-inspired seafood fare the restaurant serves up, bargain-priced beers like $2.50 Miller Lites, and $4 margaritas. Frozen or on the rocks, Tax says these libations, crafted with homemade margarita mix, are a big hit with Beach Shack customers.

“Fresh juice, tequila, and triple sec – you can’t go wrong,” Tax said.
