School Supplies Tax Holiday This Weekend

Virginia’s clothing and school supplies sales tax holiday is this weekend, running from Friday, Aug. 3 through Sunday Aug. 5. Clothing and school supplies are exempt from Virginia’s five percent sales tax. The tax break applies to all school supply items under $20 as well as all articles of clothing under $100 (including both kids and adult wear).
