School Supplies Being Collected in F.C.

The City of Falls Church Housing and Human Services Department is collecting new, unused school supplies for middle and high school students in the City. In this challenging financial climate some families in the City have a difficult time buying school supplies for their children.

To help meet this need, Housing and Human Services is accepting donations of school supplies through August 23, 2012. Items needed include: Gift Cards, from stores such as Staples, Giant, CVS, Donation to School Family Assistance Program, Backpacks, Binders (1″, 1.5″, 2″), Binder/subject Dividers, Double-pocket Folders, Spiral Notebooks, Graph Paper Note books, Post-it notes, Compasses, Protractors, Rulers, Pens, Markers, Highlighters (no crayons or pencils), Pencil Pouches, Hand Sanitizer, Deodorant, and Tissues. Donations may be dropped off by August 23 at the F.C. City Hall, G Level, 300 Park Avenue, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
