Stuart Students Win Honors at SkillsUSA-Virginia Competition

Seven J.E.B. Stuart High School students were awarded state honors at the recent SkillsUSA-Virginia Leadership and Skills Conference in Hampton. The event was a showcase for career and technical education students across the state to display their knowledge, skills, and abilities in various trade, industry, and service occupations. Seventeen Stuart students represented their Education for Employment and TV Production programs as gold level winners from SkillsUSA District 5.

The following students received state honors: Maria Canon, Ivan Vidakovic, Armando Jimenez, Andrea Bermudez, Dexter Bermudez, Hilda Mensahq and Aysha Omer.

Maria Canon will be representing the Commonwealth of Virginia in the customer service competition at the National SkillsUSA Championships, June 23 – 27, in Kansas City.
