F.C. City Schools Programs Highlighted in State Showcase

Three Falls Church City Public Schools programs are highlighted in the Virginia School Board Association 2012 Showcase for Success.

Featured programs are Mount Daniel School’s Room 2’s Kindergarten Worm Farm, where students learn about composting food scraps and using it in the outdoor classroom; Thomas Jefferson Elementary School’s China Day Festival, which is the culmination of the grade-level study of China; and Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School’s Digital Learning Series, which is yearlong program encouraging teachers to increase the frequency of their use of technology for teaching and learning.
