F.C. to Host Official Pit Stop for Bike to Work Day Next Month

Bike to Work Day, the free, regional event sponsored by Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, will take place Friday, May 18. The City of Falls Church is hosting one of the 58 official Pit Stops and is seeking sponsors who can provide in-kind contributions and monetary donations to support the events scheduled for the stop at the W&OD Trail at Grove Avenue.

In-kind donations can include giveaways with a business logo, especially items of interest to bicycle commuters like water bottles and small towels. Businesses may also donate larger items and/or services that could be included in a raffle. Donations of food like energy bars, fresh fruit, and bottled water are also appreciated. For more information or to register, visit www.biketoworkmetrodc.org. For information on local sponsorship opportunities contact Wendy Block Sanford, Transportation Program Manager, at 703-248-5041 or wblocksanford@fallschurchva.gov.
