The Falls Church Arts fundraiser held on Leap Year Day at Mad Fox Brewing Company raised over $3,500, selling 674 raffle tickets, with Mad Fox donating a portion of total sales for the entire day.
Pictured above, FCA President Barb Cram chats with guests in the bar area of Mad Fox, which filled with supporters during the fundrasier. Hundreds showed up to support the cause, with the bulk of supporters coming during the dinner hour. The premiere performance of Simple Sound, and a set by Lu and the Blues Crew, were a hit with the audience, which appreciated the music of singer Lu Sevier, singer and bassist Nathan Cooper, guitarist and saxophone player Devin Divecha, guitarist Paul Sanders and drummer Trevor Simpson (who stood in for the band’s regular drummer, Dave McAllister, who was unable to attend). Falls Church Arts, now in its ninth year, is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that uses funds to pay costs at ArtSpace Falls Church, and extend and support arts programming, classes and exhibits.
