F.C. Students Selected for Journalism Conference

Several students from Falls Church have been nominated as National Youth Correspondents for the 2012 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University.

Allie Plata, Mimi Nemec, and Sophie McGinnies at George Mason High School, and Caitlin Hammond at Georgetown Visitation Prep School, have been nominated to represent Virginia.

These individuals have been awarded the opportunity to join a select group of students from across the country to participate in an intensive week-long study of leadership in journalism and the media. They received their honor because of their academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in journalism and media studies.
