When the game is on, Dogwood Tavern is the best place to be.

With 15 TVs, including a 60- and 54-incher, there’s never a shortage of cheering or jeering at the restaurant every day of the week.

But Sundays? Oh, on Sundays, it’s on.

With the NFL Sunday ticket, an omelette, waffle and Bloody Mary bar, 1/2 priced burgers (afer 7 p.m.), pitcher specials and more during the games, there’s no reason to spend the day anywhere else.

While the ‘Skins take priority on the big screens, they do their best to accomodate all fans. “We make sure to get people grouped together to watch their team,” says manager Tamara Powell.

Dogwood may be home to all teams D.C., but they get plenty of other fans as well. “We get several Virgina Tech and WVU alumni, and Steeler fans, too. They’re all over the place!” says Powell.
