This week’s Jam is a recommendation for all the sandwich lovers out there. While not a specific event, I guarantee this will be worth your time. Just last week, Endless Simmer proclaimed D.C. has home to the best new sandwich in America, and boy, is it a doozy.

The New Luther is ChurchKey‘s take on the Luther sandwich. For those unfamiliar with the Luther, the traditional makeup is a burger (or cheeseburger) inbetween a glazed doughnut. Now, ChurchKey’s version uses a house-made brioche donut glazed in maple-chicken jus topped with oven-baked pecans and, in place of a burger, uses buttermilk friend chicken with a wedge of applewood smoked bacon. Drooling yet?
This creation is available on a bit of a limited basis. One, it’s not on the menu, and two, it’s only available on Sundays, between noon and 8 p.m.
Anybody wanna guess where I’ll be this Sunday?
