Elderly F.C. Woman Killed by Arlington School Bus

Police are identifying the pedestrian hit and killed by an Arlington County school bus yesterday as 89-year-old Louise Gabel of Falls Church. The crash took place at approximately 7:30 a.m. Monday at the intersection of South 8th Road and Carlin Springs Road.

Police are identifying the pedestrian hit and killed by an Arlington County school bus yesterday as 89-year-old Louise Gabel of Falls Church. The crash took place at approximately 7:30 a.m. Monday at the intersection of South 8th Road and Carlin Springs Road in Arlington.

Gabel was transported to a local hospital immediately following the crash, but succumbed to her injuries last night.

The accident is still under investigation. Police ask that anyone who witnessed the accident or has information relating to this incident call Detective Paul Marseilles at 703-228-4237.
