The Bath & Idea Center by Noland Company has opened in its new location in the Tower Square Shopping Center on Hillwood Avenue in Falls Church.

The new showroom provides plumbing contractors and consumers with products and consultation services for bath and kitchen new construction and remodeling projects. As City budget cuts threatened to cancel the 9th Annual City of Falls Church Student Art Contest, Art and Frame of Falls Church is now organizing and sponsoring the contest in conjunction with FIRSTfriday of Falls Church and creating a calendar featuring the winning entries. SmithGifford, the Falls Church-based advertising agency, is also sponsoring the effort. Mary Anne Carlson is donating 25% of all designated sales of Arbonne products purchased in November to the National Capital Area Food Bank. The fundraiser is being held in conjunction with Solano Spine & Sports Chiropractic‘s Food Bank Fundraiser and November 10 VIP Reception. William V. Dougherty III, DDS is sponsoring a coat drive November through mid-December to help those in need this holiday season. The dental practice is collecting new or gently used coats for children and adults. All donations will go to families in need through The Koinonia Foundation. The last day for drop-offs will be Thursday December 17. Divot Charities and Ireland’s Four Provinces have teamed up for the third year to collect and send care packages to U.S. Troops for the holidays. Donations of personal care products, non-perishable food, and other items can be dropped off at the restaurant located at 105 W. Broad Street in November. WBC USNBC Champion Jimmy Lange, U.S. Figure Skater Haley Dunne, the 2009-2010 Washington Wizard Girls and NFL Moms will be joining Solano Spine & Sport Chiropractic for their 2nd Annual VIP Food Drive Reception on Tuesday, November 10 from 6 – 8 p.m. The event, held in conjunction with the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce‘s monthly networking mixer, is free and open to the public. The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with Fairfax County Office of Partnerships and M&T Bank, is hosting its third annual Non-Profit Forum sponsored by Gannett Co. Inc. “Managing for Today’s Economy” will be held 10 a.m. -3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10 at the Gannett/USA Today Headquarters (7950 Jones Branch Road, McLean). This event, which includes lunch, is free for non-profits.
