Jody’s Jam of the Week

DC’s 1st Annual Chocolate and Wine Festival, January 25 at The Whittemore

Jody's Jam of the WeekThere are certain instances when you lose all control and animal instinct takes over. An example of this is the moment Willy Wonka opened the door to his factory and Augustus Gloop lost his mind and tried to eat everything in sight. Now, in hopes of saving you the embarrassment Augustus had to endure, I’m warning you now, do not attend this event unless your will is strong. DC’s 1st Annual Chocolate and Wine Festival promises to be a chocolate lover’s dream. More than 10 chocolate makers and pastry chefs will be on hand creating  decadent desserts, chocolates and other sweets sure to make your mouth water. In addition, a selection of wines will be included, perfectly pairing with the sweet of your choice. Chefs at the event include celebrity pastry chef Warren Brown (star of the Food Network’s “Sugar Rush”), 100 King Executive Chef Denis Soriano, Chef Leon Baker of Farrah Olivia Restaurant and more. If you decide to attend, please be careful and act responsibly, there will be no Oompa Loompas to bail you out.
