Last Wednesday, looking to continue an already impressive season, the George Mason High School track and field team took on district rival Clarke County High in a dual meet.
It’s been 11 years since the Marshall Statesmen captured the Liberty District indoor track and field, but with individual titles from seniors Shannon McVey and Jacqueline Hargrove, the Statesmen pulled away from rival Langley and claimed the crown.
The George Mason High School cross country team rounded out an impressive season Saturday, as the girls team placed third overall in the state meet on the Great Meadows Course at Loudon County High School.
