Falls Church Schools Seek Community Input on Strategic Plan

Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) is inviting students, families, staff and community members to help shape the school division’s next strategic plan, which will establish educational priorities for the coming years.

The division is seeking a broad range of perspectives as it works to build on its tradition of academic excellence while responding to emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in education.

Community feedback will play a central role in developing a plan that reflects the needs, values and aspirations of the school community while preparing students for success in a changing world.

Residents and other stakeholders are encouraged to participate in a virtual town hall Thursday, October 29, at 7 p.m. Participants can register online to receive a Zoom meeting link.

Those unable to attend can complete the FCCPS community survey, which remains open through Friday, October 30. The survey asks participants to identify educational priorities for the next five years, including what the division should begin, discontinue or continue doing. Responses will remain anonymous and confidential.

The strategic planning process will continue throughout the school year, with the School Board expected to approve the new plan in spring 2027.
