The Swift Swift Effect

     It is reported that almost 400,000 people have registered to vote this fall using the portal provided by Taylor Swift following her powerful endorsement of Kamala Harris following the debate this week. Next week, a similar endorsement is expected from another mega-nfluencer, Oprah Winfrey, while no less than Pope Francis issued a statement today freeing Catholics from an obligation to vote solely on the issue of abortion, a huge new development.

     Trump, on the other hand, is adding no one of value to his list of supporters, but instead is being pressured from even some  of his most strident rightwing boosters to dump Laura Loomer a toxic racist who has been joined to his hip in the last week.

     Meanwhile, in the wake of the debate Trump is being reduced to being a laughing stock as, of course, he emphatically insists there will not be another debate.
