Monday, Mar. 28 — The News-Press has learned that Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields will formally propose cutting the real estate tax rate by 8.5 cents to $1.23.5 per $100 valuation at the City Council meeting tonight. The proposal comes after the City assessor announced real estate values jumped 12.2 percent in the last year.
