Temple Rodef Shalom Sponsors Event this Weekend

Temple Rodef Shalom will co-sponsor an event titled “A Turning Point in Women’s History — WRJ Mid-Atlantic District Area Day,” on Sunday, April 7 from 1 – 3 p.m. The Falls Church temple organized the event in conjuction with the Sisterhoods of Congregation Ner Shalom and Temple B’nai Shalom, where the event is hosted (7612 Old Ox Rd., Fairfax Station). This event is free and open to all, but a $10 donation is suggested at the door. Interested attendees must RSVP by Saturday, April 6

Attendees will hear Pat Wirth, Executive Director/CEO of the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial Association, give an in-depth look at this time in history for women, including tidbits like this:

“In 1917, they were arrested, dragged to court, then thrown into prison. Their crime? Silently picketing the White House for the right to vote!”
