Women’s History Walk Gives Panorama of F.C. Icons

A CRISP, BLUSTERY day couldn’t dissuade the masses from descending on the City of Falls Church for the third annual Falls Church Women’s History Walk. The event, organized by a crew of female civic activists who serve the City in political, professional and artistic capacities, focused on the contributions of over 36 distinguished women. That included members of the Henderson and Tinner families, immigrant leader Jackie Bong Wright, educators Lola Saunders, Betsy Read and Sarah Wren and many others, who were given their due about how they sculpted the Falls Church seen today.
