Vase Sets Record At Quinn’s Auction Galleries

An antique Chinese Cloisonné vase was acquired by a London-based bidder for $812,000 on April 22 at Quinn’s Auction Galleries in Falls Church. Originally appraised at $30,000, the final selling price set a new record for a Cloisonné vase sold at an auction throughout the world. The 10-inch Ming Dynasty vase is thought to be 500 years old and was brought to Quinn’s by a local collector who inherited the item from his grandfather.
