Two prominent regional real estate-related organizations, the Delta Association dedicated to regional multi-family research, and the Northern Virginia chapter of the NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association, both have recognized the newly-completed 301 W. Broad mixed use project as the premier of the year in the area, and Rushmark Properties’ Stefan Gassner was presented with a special recognition for this by the Falls Church City Council Monday night. Home to the new 60,000-square foot Harris Teeter in downtown Falls Church, the project also has 285 apartments and another 2,500 square feet of retail. Hitt Construction was also a major player in bringing the project, which has proven an instant hit to Falls Church residents, to fruition.
In a poll conducted last summer, 85 percent of Falls Church residents surveyed said they favored the addition of the project.
