Eden Center Tour, Dinner Led by Miss Vietnam DC on Friday
If our banh mi guide last month still hasn’t gotten you to explore Falls Church’s greatest restaurant destination, maybe an Eden Center guided tour will. This Friday, Miss Vietnam DC 2015 Jessica Phan will lead a walking tour of The Little City’s Vietnamese shopping center, exploring the plethora of shops and restaurants there. The tour will explore not only the restaurants, but also the many gift, jewelry and other stores in the expansive center.
Best of all, the tour will include a sit-down dinner at an Eden Center restaurant, led by Phan, who will order a selection of Vietnamese specialties and provide descriptions of the dishes.

Astro Introduces Halloween & Election-Themed Doughnuts
Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken will be offering a double dose of timely doughnuts over the next week and half including a box of Halloween-themed sweets this weekend, followed by a pair of election season doughnuts.
Starting Friday and running through Monday (preorder required for Oct. 30), a $22 box of mini Halloween doughnuts will be filled with a variety of flavors like creme brulee, candy apple, pumpkin glazed and chocolate and vanilla glazed topped with candy corn and marshmallow pumpkins.
Then, on Tuesday, Hillary and Donald will battle it out – in doughnut form – when Astro introduces two candidate-inspired treats. A spicy hot chocolate doughnut in honor of Clinton (Astro says she is a fan of chocolate and eats a pepper every day) features a Chipotle-glazed chocolate cake doughnut marked with a “D” and Trump’s version, honoring the Republican candidate’s love for cherry vanilla ice cream and Diet Coke, is a yeast doughnut filled with cherry compote and Cherry Vanilla Coke glaze. And what’s sure to please the The Donald, the Trump doughnut is the more expensive one at $3.10 compared to the $2.85 Hillary one.
The election season doughnuts will be available November 1–8.
