City of Falls Church Hosts Scavenger Hunt in the Parks

The City of Falls Church’s Recreation and Parks Department is hosting its inaugural scavenger hunt that will take participants through the City’s parks on Saturday, Nov. 12. The scavenger hunt starts at 11 a.m.

The City will post the first clue of the hunt to Twitter at 10 a.m. Non-Twitter users can call the Falls Church Community Center at 703-248-5027 (TTY 711) for the first clue. Participants should lan to arrive at the location given in their first clue at some point between 11 a.m. and noon to begin the hunt.

The clues will lead participants on an adventure that is about 2.5 miles. Most locations will have a staff person to assist you with the best route on the next leg of your journey. The program is great for families and small groups. The City encourages participants to walk, bike, skip or hop from place to place.

Snacks will be available at most locations. You’ll also earn raffle tickets as you progress. Raffle tickets will be collected at your final stop. Since participants will be completing their journey at different times, raffle winners will be contacted after the event.

If at any point hunters are lost or can’t figure a clue, they can call the Community Center for assistance. The event is free and no preregistration required. Teams will sign up upon arrival at their first clue. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov/1763/Scavenger-Hunt.
