F.C. League of Women Voters Hosts Community Forum

The League of Women Voters of Falls Church is hosting a community forum about the state constitution amendment dealing with labor rights that will appear on the November 8 election ballot called “Right to Work Laws vs. Encouraging Collective Bargaining” on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 3 – 4:30 p.m. at the Falls Church Community Center at 223 Little Falls Street.

The program will present an overview of the issues surrounding the proposed constitutional amendment in a forum featuring Stanley Greer, senior research associate for the National Institute for Labor Relations Research and editor of the National Right to Work Committee Newsletter, and Daniel Duncan, executive secretary-treasurer of the Maritime Trades Department of the AFL-CIO.

After brief presentations, the forum will be opened for comments, questions and discussion. The community forum is free and open to the public. For more information, visit lwv.org.
