Hitt Makes Largest Ever Twitter Donation

In less than 140-characters, Todd Hitt, founder of the Falls Church-based private equity firm Kiddar Capital, has donated $25,000 to charity, the largest ever donation made via Twitter. The donation was made using #donate, a social media-driven giving tool developed by  GoodWorld. Hitt’s donation will benefit The Child & Family Network Centers, an Alexandria-based network of nine bilingual, tuition-free pre-schools that provide high-quality education to low-income children and families. GoodWorld’s #donate technology allows anyone to make an instant and secure donation on Twitter and Facebook by simply typing #donate. More than 1,600 nonprofits representing a variety of causes have partnered with GoodWorld to generate funds and awareness of their programs.
