F.C. Episcopal Donates $3K to Mason High Band

The historic Falls Church Episcopal Church has donated $3,000 to the George Mason High School Band Boosters to support lessons, instrument rentals and other “out of pocket” services young music students might not be able to afford, according to a church announcement. The money was raised as part of the church’s Community Concert Series, free concerts for the community with donations encouraged just for this purpose.

Mary Jo West, the Music and Band director at George Mason, thanked the church “for the opportunity to offer music lessons to some very deserving students, adding, “They are eternally grateful and due to your gracious efforts, they’ve become much better musicians and some have decided to pursue music in college.”
